Abstract

This was a panel presentation for the Rocky Mountain Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA). There were three speakers (Dr. Jodi Frey, Ingrid Lindberg and Dr. Dani Kimlinger) moderated by Dr. John Narine. The agenda included identifying the role of Peer Support Specialists, traditional EAP counselors, and Recovery Friendly Workplaces when addressing employee mental health & substance use challenges and supporting recovery; discussing current barriers and successes encountered by Peer Support Specialists when supporting employee recovery, and exploring effective, unity-driven strategies for integrating Peer Support Specialists alongside EAPs and Recovery Friendly Workplace initiatives to reduce stigma, boost utilization, and enhance employee and workplace well-being. The slides and audio are included in this file; however, the first 10 minutes of the presentation (introduction to topic and panel members) was cut off.
