Abstract

Maryland's Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) program recently ended the use of full-family sanctions for non-compliance with work and child support requirements. The program now implements a partial sanction in which families receive a financial penalty for non-compliance rather than a case closure. This brief examines the percentage of the SFY 2023 caseload impacted by the new partial sanction policy.
