Abstract
This report presents key findings from an evaluation study of self-reported data of 877 Employee Assistance (EAP) counseling cases in 2024 using the validated Workplace Outcome Suite© (WOS) managed by Grupo Wellness Latina. These cases are drawn from multiple employer clients across the Latin American region. This study is among the first to empirically investigate effectiveness of EA counseling in the region using a standardized scientific measure and EA industry best practices. The WOS assesses five key workplace outcomes: absenteeism, presenteeism, work engagement, workplace stress, and life satisfaction, providing valuable insights into how personal and professional challenges impact employees’ workplace performance and overall well-being. Widely recognized and trusted, the WOS was developed by Chestnut Global Partners in 2010 to evaluate EAP counseling effectiveness (Lennox, Sharar, Schmitz, et al, 2010) and has been endorsed by the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA). The latest global summary report on WOS measures was published in 2024 by TELUS Health.
