Abstract
Sustainability in EA and workplace wellness services is not just about serving employees and work organizations, it’s also about ensuring that critical resources remain robust, accessible, and impactful over time. The International Employee Assistance Digital Archive (www.EAArchive.org) has become one of those essential resources (Turner & Piso, 2024). Launched in 2013, the Archive addresses a critical need by bringing together decades of scattered EA research, best practices, and historical documents into a single open source repository (Herlihy et al, 2020; Herlihy et al, 2023; Frey et al, 2019). Entering its 14th year with original works from over 1000 global authors and recording more than 1 million page views and downloads, it has evolved as the most comprehensive open access repository dedicated to advancing EAPs, workplace behavioral health and worker well-being. As the Archive enters its second decade, its value is clearer than ever. Yet with growth comes responsibility. Just as employers invest in infrastructure to ensure long-term success, as stakeholders we must now consider how to support this resource to make it resilient and ready for the future. The question is not if the Archive matters, but whether its stakeholders are prepared to invest in making it sustainable for future decades (Kell, Reeves & Fox, 2025).
