Volume 1, Number 4 of the Maryland Probe a newspaper of the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry (UMSOD). An article in this number suggests that the newspaper was the product of the Student Dental Association (SDA) meant to improve communications between the students, faculty, and administration of the school. The editor in chief was Sheldon B. Sydney, UMSOD Class of 1975. Number 4 of The Maryland Probe is the only number we have for volume 1.
