The November 1, 1903 issue was the introductory issue for the University Orist. The publication was aimed at alumni and students of the University of Maryland Dental Department, a predecessor of the School of Dentistry. The volume includes notes of the school's clubs and classes and updates on students, alumni, and faculty of the school. This issue includes a biography of Professor Francis Turquand Miles.
