The difficult economic conditions in 2009 had ratcheted up the pressure on employers and their employees as all competed for success - and even survival. This pressure increased the likelihood that some employees would develop or exacerbate behavioral conditions that reduced their productivity and increased related costs for the employer - a situation in which both the employee and the employer decreased their competitive advantage. This was especially true for employers that depended on the cognitive and interpersonal skills of their employees for success. Employee Assistance (EA), Work-Life (WL), and related programs were under the same pressures. In spite of these pressures, current economic realities offered significant opportunities to identify both obvious and hidden costs and to promote individual and corporate productivity. Employers and employees in the financial services industry were at the center of the economic storm. In this presentation, Dr. Conti examines the impact of the costs related to behavioral health concerns, as well as the opportunities for EA and WL programs to respond. Can we make the EAP case, even in poor economic times? Yes, we can - and this presentation can show you how!en_US
