In this letter from James Carroll to his wife Jennie Carroll sent from Las Animas Hospital in Havana, Cuba, where he is stationed for the United States Yellow Fever Commission, Carroll describes attending a memorial service for President McKinley and plans to visit the sea to see sharks feed. He adds that he plans on visiting a hospital for lepers, along with the water works.Included is a transcript of the letter.
