The occasion was the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) hosting as a group of new citizens took the oath of allegiance during a naturalization ceremony held at Westminster Hall by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), a part of the Department of Homeland Security. The ceremony was held on June 18, 2018 in advance of the international observance of World Refugee Day on June 20.	en_US
