| dc.description | The 2006 conference focused on the death of Booker T. Washington who was hospitalized in New York City shortly before he died on November 14, 1915, in Tuskeegee, Alabama. Included are Washington’s medical history, results of the physical examination conducted upon his admission to the hospital, and an image of 2 tables of values taken directly from his hospital record. Dr. Wright’s diagnosis is that the African-American leader suffered from malignant hypertension and died of nephrosclerosis and hypertensive cardiomyopathy. | |
