Reports of the Woman's Auxiliary Monthly Visiting Committees 1913-1918
Description
These monthly reports show that each month a committee was named to perform the tasks of the Woman's Auxiliary for that period. This is a compilation of reports on the work done each month from March 1913 through May 1918. In Bowe's History (1934) she traces the beginning of these Monthly Visiting Committees to 1905. "The ward visiting-by means of which each ward patient is visited twice weekly by members of the Board-was inaugurated in 1905 by Mrs. Samuel Chew. This work, considered by many to be the most important phase of the Board's activities, has been very ably carried on under the direction of Mrs. Carolyn von Borries, our first Supervisor of Ward Visiting."Keyword
