This invitation pertains to the first major event held during the School of Medicine's Bicentennial year. The breakfast was held on January 30, 2007, at the Miller Senate Building in Annapolis, in commemoration of the partnership between the School and the Maryland State Legislature. The Legislature was the body originally responsible for establishing the Medical College of Maryland in 1807, the original medical school that later became the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The School issued this invitation in the name of its current Dean, E. Albert Reece.
