A special event during Founders Week 2012 at the University of Maryland, the Founding Campus, was a Happy Birthday Davidge Hall celebration held on October 26, 2012 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the University’s original building named in honor of the School of Medicine’s first Dean. Larry Pitrof, Executive Director of the University of Maryland Medical Alumni Association, delivered these remarks highlighting the history of the building, its place in the history of medical education, and its role in the efforts of Nathaniel Potter and John Beale Davidge to establish our original College of Medicine of Maryland.Keyword
