Historical Clinicopathological Conference: The Full Gamut of MiseryDescription
The death of the composer Georges Bizet was the focus of the 2021 conference. From his teens onward, he experienced regular throat inflammation attacks. Later in life, he moved from the city of Paris to the countryside in an effort to breathe more freely. At the age of 36, several days after swimming in the Seine, he complained of severe chest pains. Shortly after the second "heart attack" he lost consciousness and died.Presenter's Diagnosis: GABHS Pharyngitis and chronic rheumatic heart disease
