Poster presented at the 16th Annual Conference of the National Hispanic Medical Association, Washington, D.C., April 26-29. Highlights components of a program to train healthcare personnel, faculty, and students in an academic medical center to communicate with Spanish speaking patrons. The project is the result of a partnership between the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM), the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Program of the Institute for Improvement of Minority Health and Health Disparitites in the Delta Region (DRI) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), and the Rowland Medical Library at UMMC.Sponsors
