      Most of the materials in the Cyril C.H. Feng Papers come from Feng’s time as director of the University of Maryland at Baltimore Health Sciences Library from 1977 to 1990. They provide a glimpse into the business of the Health Sciences Library during a time of growth and reorganization and medical library administration generally. Feng was especially interested in integrated library systems.

      The Health Sciences and Human Services Library (HS/HSL) is one of two libraries on the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s campus. The library traces its history back to 1813 and is believed to be the oldest library attached to a School of Medicine in the country. This collection contains materials from the HS/HSL including photographs, newsletters, and annual reports. The collection includes materials on the planning and building of two library buildings, as well as anniversary celebrations. The collection provides a glimpse into the history of the library and the University.

      This collection contains postal and commemorative stamps of a variety of well-known and lesser-known medical and charitable organizations. The collection dates from 1937 to 1972. The stamps were used to raise awareness and funds for the organizations and/or commemorative an influential event or person in the medical world. The collection was created by the Health Sciences Librarians.

      The Ida M. Robinson Papers contains materials from her tenure as Director of the Health Sciences Library of the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The collection contains professional correspondence, biographical materials, and professional materials surrounding Robinson’s life and career. The collection provides insight into library and professional organization administration as well as the history of the University and the library. The materials date from 1954 to 1988 but the majority fall between 1959 and 1963.
