The development of reproducible folding in the gyrencephalic cerebral cortex is a topic of great interest to neuroscientists. In a recent paper in Cell, del Toro et al. (2017) show that changing the adhesive properties of neurons in the normally lissencephalic mouse cortex leads to the formation of stereotyped folding.Identifier to cite or link to this item
