News release discussing the UMB Center for Vaccine Development's, Vaccine Impact on Diarrhea in Africa (VIDA) project, led by Karen Kotloff, MD. The study began 14 to 21 months subsequent to the introduction of rotavirus vaccines in The Gambia, Mali, and Kenya. Vaccination impact will be assessed by comparing before and after data associated with the etiology and incidence of moderate-to-severe diarrhea in children 0-59 months.Keyword
