Abstract

The legacy of segregation in Baltimore, Maryland has contributed to spatial racism, resulting in a city with high resourced predominately White neighborhoods and low resourced predominately Black neighborhoods. By applying the Black Butterfly framework, this study examined the impact of spatial racism on cannabis dispensary locations in Baltimore, Maryland. The methodology and findings can be replicated in other municipalities to explore how spatial racism is impacting the cannabis industry.
