Description
Mounted on matboard, with typescript description on the verso which attributes the work to Susanna Verbruggen, Antwerp, c. 1750. The name "S. Appolonia" appears within the image. Depicts Saint Apollonia holding dental forceps with an extracted tooth in her right hand and a martyr's palm in her left hand. Original piece measures 12 X 8 cm.
