Abstract

In this letter Eugene F. Cordell describes camp life and happenings to his mother, Christine Turner Cordell. He describes a bout of typhoid fever in the camp as well as the poor diet. He also describes an incident where he is robbed of clothing. Additionally, he describes the movings of Confederate troops and his unsuccessful bid for Third Lieutenant in his company.
