Abstract

The Research Committee of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) asked several EAP organizations to describe how they conduct research on their services. The results are briefly presented concerning questions of: 1) What kinds of research does your organization address? 2) Who conducts the research? 3) Who do research projects get approved, launched, completed, and so on? 4) What kinds of data or tools are used to conduct research? and 5) What is an example of a recent research project? Results are presented for nine organizations representing a mix of external large and small vendors, academic centers, and consultants. The sample had 8 from the United States and 1 from the United Kingdom.
