Description
Becky Ceraul is a Staff member in the School of Pharmacy.
During this pandemic and the mandating of facial coverings in public, I've been fascinated by the fabrics people use for their face masks. Bright colors, beautiful patterns, interesting details, advocacy messages, funny jokes, and more. People now compliment each other on their masks. They've become a fashion accessory. This series of photos shows my own masks, either made by me, my mother, or sent to me from UMB. It's just a fraction of the collection I now have. A collection I will keep forever as a memory of this pandemic.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Historical Collections Department of the HS/HSL solicited personal narratives, artwork, photographs, etc. from UMB Community members to document their experiences during the crisis. The project was titled, “UnMasking a Pandemic: Stories from UMB during COVID-19.” This is a piece received through this project.
