Abstract

The Wellmobile reports are prepared for the Maryland General Assembly to fulfill the requirement of providing an annual accounting of actual and planned program activities for the Governor's Wellmobile Program. BACKGROUND AND HISTORY: The Governor's Wellmobile Program is a community partnership model of mobile nurse managed primary health care designed to serve uninsured and underserved populations throughout Maryland...The Wellmobile Program has been in continuous operation under UMSON's management since 1994. The Wellmobile Program provides services in the following areas: clinical care, health screenings, health promotion, case management and service linkages, referrals, and system navigation.

Description
FY 2006: Services were begun in Anne Arundel County in Glen Burnie at the request of the Anne Arundel Health Officer. FY 2010: the Central Maryland Wellmoblie relocated to a proposed community hub in Seat Pleasant, a predominantly African-American Prince George's County community.
