Description
Includes Officers, Charity Ball Committee members, and list of past presidents. Included also is a message from the president of the University, H.C. Byrd in which he explains the role of the Woman's Auxiliary Board in taking care of the need of residents of Baltimore City and other parts of the state who can pay only a small part, or no part at all of the total medical costs of the services provided by the Hospital. "Therefore, the help that you extend to the Woman's Auxiliary Board is help given to make life for the poor and the needy a little more worthwhile." Also includes a list of patrons and advertisements. The 1949 Benefit was held in the Fifth Regiment Armory and featured music from Harry James and His Orchestra.
