Description
Announcement of a 5 year, 2 million dollar grant awarded to University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Institute for Global Health and Institute of Human Virology to study the impact exposure to HIV has on the immune systems of infants in utero. The research will be conducted at the Blantyre Malaria Project (BMP) Research Clinic in Ndirande Health Centre, an affiliate of the University of Malawi College of Medicine. Principal investigators for the study are Cristiana Cairo, Ph.D. and Miriam K. Laufer, M.D., M.P.H.
