Description
In this letter from Major Walter Reed, M.D., U.S. Army physician, to James Carroll, Reed communicates his excitement that Carroll is recovering from his [auto] exposure to Yellow Fever. Reed states that he has spoken with James Carroll's wife, Jennie Carroll, prior to his attack of Yellow Fever, and she preferred that, rather than going to the U.S. and having to return to Cuba, he wait until Christmas and stay home for good. Reed also states that he will be visiting Camp Columbia, Cuba in October. Additionally, Reed asks Carroll how it feels to be "an 'immune'".
