Article announcing a donation of $44,000 from the Auxiliary to the University of Maryland Hospital. Also discusses the history of the Auxiliary, stating that "the gift continues a tradition of service which the board, founded in 1887, began then, continuing with its first benefit concert in 1891 to raise funds for repairs to a part of the medical school building which had been destroyed by fire."
