Description
On September 14, 1998, James T. Hill, Vice President for Administration and Finance, proposed to Dr. Joann A. Boughman, Vice President for Academic
Affairs and Dean, Graduate School, that George Shoenberger and Patricia
Sokolove be asked to establish a task force to take responsibility for planning a
new Campus Center. The Task Force was mandated to examine the purpose and role of a new Campus
Center in the future of the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Specifically, it was
asked to consider the services and activities that should be located in the building,
the users, and, most important, a vision for the facility.
