The Cordell Collection is named after Dr. Eugene F. Cordell, the first library of the University of Maryland's School of Medicine Library. This write-up was created for the Historical Collections' website by former librarian, Richard Behles. The collection's scope covers the full spectrum of the medical sciences, with holdings in a variety of languages and spanning several chronological periods.
