While the COVID 19 pandemic continues to dominate the news cycle – and our lives! – it can seem challenging to reflect on a tragedy that occurred 20 years ago, rather than the one calling for our attention right now. For the next generation of employees entering the workforce, the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, were an event studied in History class, and even for many who were in the workforce then, it’s becoming a distant memory. But I believe the lessons learned from 9/11 are more pertinent than ever and can help guide the EAP response to our current crisis.
