Description
In this letter from James Carroll to Walter Reed sent from Las Animas Hospital in Havana,Cuba, where he is stationed for the United States Yellow Fever Commission, Carroll addresses two letters and a telegram that Reed had sent. Carroll details in this letter staffing and volunteers for their experiments. Additionally, Carroll details the medical condition of one of the men who he believed was infected with yellow fever and discusses the signs and symptoms that the man presented with in great detail. In conclusion Carroll discusses the use of control subjects for their future experiments.
