Abstract

In 2012, HS/HSL received NIH funding to develop SHARE (Student Health Advocates Redefining Empowerment), a 3 year project aimed at developing students’ skills to advocate for better health at the personal, family, and community level. The challenges faced during the third year of Project SHARE included: Refine lessons developed in SHARE years 1 and 2; Standardize lesson plans of 12 SHARE instructors; Generalize lesson content and experiential learning activities to allow for use nationwide. The curriculum is expected to be published online by August 2014.
