Description
Volume contains catalogs and lists of students and faculty from the 1838/1839 through the 1879/1880 annual sessions. The following catalogs are missing: 1847/1848, 1852/1853, and 1859/1860; The catalog was known by several variant titles through the years with some of the earlier publications consisting only of lists of faculty and/or students with brief descriptions of the school facilities; The first traditional catalog in the volume is for the 1844/1845 session; The School of Medicine was known as the Faculty of Physic for many years during the 19th Century; Later catalogs include names of faculty members and students, recent graduates, lists of textbooks, course descriptions, fees and statutes; Also included in the volume are the Circular of the Regents' Medical Faculty of the University of Maryland dated 1837/1838 and the Report of the Joint Committee on the Memorial of the Regents of the University of Maryland dated 1839.
