Description
The illness and death of Ludwig van Beethoven was the subject of the 3rd annual conference. Included is an account of the composer’s many health issues and description of his death. Autopsy findings written by Dr. Johann Wagner, who performed the post-mortem, appear at the end. Dr. Donnenberg's diagnosis is that Beethoven suffered from syphilis.
