Description
Undated series of caricatures titled, Folies Caricaturales; probably published between 1845 and 1847. Illustrations chiefly created by Cham (1819-1879) -- pseudonym of Amédée-Charles-Henri De Noé (1819-1879), and Henri Emy ; some items also attributed to Gabriel Aubert, the publisher, who worked out of Place de la Bourse. PDF created from scans of the caricatures, features a variety of cartoon panels with captions in French. Original pieces measure 30 X 22 cm. Estimated date of publishing taken from the date of death of Gabriel Aubert (1847) and the location of the publisher (1845).
