The COVID-19 crisis created many challenges, but it also inspired acts of amazing kindness among members of our UMB community. The Elm's On the Bright Side series uncovers and shares these stories.
Laurette Hankins, University of Maryland School of Nursing Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations, and her grandson, Ian, worked to make 75 "thank you" bracelets for nurses in the University of Maryland Medical Center during the COVID-19 crisis. The bracelets were given out during National Nurses Week, 2020.
