Handwritten class notes by Samuel Mainster, University of Maryland School of Medicine Class of 1828, from Dr. Nathan R. Smith’s course on Surgery from the 1827 to 1828 session. Class topics include: Fractures, Pseudo arthrosis, Rachitis, Osteosarcosis, Exostosis, Dislocations, Necrosis, Spina Ventosa, Abscesses, Morbus Coxarius, Swelling, Diseases of the Joints, Ulcers, Diseases of the Arteries, Aneurism, and Hernia.
