Description
In the Spring 2018 John Burke officially retired from the EAP Field. This is a synopsis of his 45 year career in the Employee Assistance profession dating back to the early days of EAP. It illustrates the field’s evolution through one person's eyes as it traces the steps from a public sector initiative to a private for-profit business endeavor. The article concludes with reflections on the state of the profession as viewed by the writer.
