Description
The charter states, in point 3, "That the purpose for which the said corporation is formed and the objects to be promoted by it are: To aid the physicians and faculty of the Hospital of the University of Maryland in every way in their power, in and about the affairs of said Hospital, and to aid in the uplift, well-being and comfort of the patients of said Hospital; and further to aid the authorities of the said University of Maryland with reference to the affairs of said Hospital in every possible way..."
