Description
Mounted in photo mat, with a label on the verso which states "Saints Ursula and Apollonia of Alexandria ; embroidered textile, probably French, 15th century, Worcester Art Museum." Depicts both saints holding martyr's palms, and Saint Apollonia also holds dental forceps with an extracted tooth. Original piece measures 13 x 16 cm.
