The botanicals featured in this calendar come from volumes in the HSHSL's Historical Collections; specifically, Curtis, William and Sir William Jackson Hooker. The Botanical Magazine; or, Flower-Garden
Displayed.; Kohler, Franz Eugen. Köhler’s Medizinal-Pflanzen in naturgetreuen Abbildungen mit kurz
erläuterndem Texte; and Woodville, William. Medical botany, containing systematic and general descriptions, with plates of all the medicinal plants, indigenous and exotic, comprehended in the catalogues of the materia medica, as published by the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London and Edinburgh.
